Meeting Creative, LLC
For 18 years, I have worked, consulted, and volunteered with dozens of non-profit organizations, universities, corporations, both domestic and abroad, in various capacities, including streamlining efficiency and maximizing resources to support organizational and development goals. My work in event management, operations, and project management include employers such as the University of Baltimore and George Washington University Law School, and clients such as Sidley Austin LLP, the DC Department of Behavioral Health, and NMAC (formerly National Minorities AIDS Council); and consulting with successful small, women and minority-owned companies such as Fia’s Fabulous Finds and Movement Law Lab, among others. Meeting Creative was founded in 2015 to provide advising and consulting.
I am the co-founder of enSprout tocreate pathways to environmental stewardship for kids to experiences nature-based learning.
As the beginning of enSprout was forming over the winter of 2021, I organically connected with a group of black farmers at a regional conference hosted by Future Harvest CASA. I found alignment within this group over our shared land-based vision to support Black Americans. However, landlessness is a significant barrier to creating these safe and healing spaces. Leaning on my experience in organizing and planning, I feel called to organize the space, people, information, and resources for folx to learn the practices and experience healing from trans-generational trauma through a relationship with nature, healing food, and holistic wellness tools.
As enSprout continues to work with the larger community to develop programming that helps children connect with nature, there is also collective work needed to ensure equitable access to these opportunities. enBloom is that work.
When I’m not manifesting big ideas, my husband of 12 years, Ryan, and I enjoy being tourists in and around the DC Metro, exploring new parks and trails, and picking crabs with our two daughters, Stella and Ruby in Crofton, MD. Atlanta-born and Baltimore-raised, I earned a diploma from Western School of Technology and Environmental Science, a B.A. in Multicultural Advertising for the University of Maryland, College Park, and a M.A. in Publications Design from the University of Baltimore.
