What if I want to not grow anymore after my first or second season?
We want everyone that wants to grow healing foods to have that opportunity regardless of initial skill level or resources. However we can appreciate that growing food isn’t for everyone and sometimes you don’t know that until after you have tried.
If you decide not to continue to grow at the end of the first or second season, we will schedule after the last harvest in October to pick up your bed (and its contents) and identify a new Garden Steward. -
“I have been growing food for a number of years. Can I participate?”
We welcome growers of all growing levels. If you have a bed and supplies that you are willing to use, that opens up a space for a newer gardener to participate and learn valuable live-sustaining skills.

How often will I need to post on the private Facebook Group?
We want this experience to be fun and as painless as possible for everyone involved. Posting should be things that you may naturally feel inclined to take a photo of regardless if you were in this program or not.
Here are some example of what you might post:
Scenario 1: You come home from grocery shopping and find your new new garden bed delivery waiting for you on your door step. We hope this will be an exciting discovery!
Post: Snap a quick pic with the line, “My garden bed from enBloom just arrived!”
Scenario 2: After watering your seedlings for 2 weeks, you see a baby bell pepper sprouting.
Post: "Welcome to the world baby Bell Pepper! Can’t wait to watch you grow.
Scenario 3: You went out of town for 3 days. You forgot to ask the Grow4FoodRx community to help make sure your garden gets watered on the 2nd day and when you return home, you see that your lettuce looks really sad.
Post: “Yelp! Will my lettuce make it? Help!"

What will the frequency of videos that I need to watch be and estimated amount of daily time I’d need to commit.
Training Videos: The goal is for the videos to be but sized so that you can follow along without feeling overwhelmed. Our goal is to post 1 or 2 videos that are 10 minutes or less each week.
Garden Maintenance: Someone will need to water the garden daily for 5 to 10 minutes. Weeding will depend on where you place your bed and what trees/plants drop or blow seeds into the bed — you’ll want to check daily for weeds that are sprouting to keep them under control. Harvesting can take 15 to 30 minutes when the time comes but once a plant is harvested it is done.
Overall 1 to 2 hours total per week, 15 - 30 minutes a day, should be sufficient.
